A photographer was sentenced today to prison for trying to extort $3 million by selling nude pictures of superstar
Cameron Diaz taken early in her career.
John Rutter was given 3 years and 8 months in prison for perjury and attempted grand theft under a sentence imposed by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael E. Pastor.
The charges against Rutter, 42, stemmed from a daylong photo shoot in 1992 in an abandoned L.A.-area warehouse. Diaz, then a 19-year-old unknown, posed wearing fishnet stockings and leather, and topless.
In the years after the shoot, her career took off. Such films as "The Mask" and "There's Something About Mary" earned her a place on Hollywood's A-list and up to $20 million a film. Rutter approached Diaz with the racy photos in 2003, a week before the premiere of her movie "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," saying he had interested buyers.
Rutter's attorney, Mark Werksman, called the July trial a battle between a "rich and famous celebrity" and a "hardworking photographer."
Deputy Dist. Atty. David Walgren downplayed the celebrity aspect of the case in statements to reporters, saying that had the victim been someone other than Diaz, the case still would have been prosecuted "in the same courts" and "in the same manner."
Walgren had asked for the sentence the judge imposed.
Diaz testified that she felt no shame or embarrassment over the photo session.
"I kind of bought into thinking I would like to do images that are great images — rather than just a model who sells clothes," Diaz testified in July. "I didn't think of them as pornographic. I didn't think of them as perverted."

Playboy.com is looking for the Gap's sexiest sweater sweeties to pose for its upcoming "Girls of the Gap" online, to be launched in time for the holiday shopping season.
The online publication of the adult men's magazine has run similar pictorials that aim to "uncover" corporate employees, with spreads that have included the "Women of Home Depot" "Women of Wal-Mart" and "Women of McDonald's"
Those specials were the three biggest money-generating features for playboy.com, a company spokeswoman said.
"(Women of Wal-Mart) was a real watershed moment for Playboy.com in terms of the number of people who actually paid money to get access to the pay-per-view part of the feature," John Thomas, editor of Playboy.com, told CNN/Money in a previous interview.
The spreads are directly responsible for thousands of new memberships to the Playboy Cyberclub, where the pictorials are housed online, just to gain access to the Home Depot, Wal-Mart and McDonald's articles, said the spokeswoman.
She added that those three specials alone have generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue, and translated into over 10,000 DVD sales.
As with previous playboy.com pictorials, the Gap special will be available only online and showcase the retailer's "sexiest" female employees.
The adult men's publication ran similar "Women of Enron" and "Women of Starbucks" photo spreads in Playboy magazine in 2002 and 2003.
Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, criticized the Playboy spread that featured its employees in November 2004, saying the project went against its image as a family store.
Playboy.com pays models for features but does not disclose the amount.
Any woman 18 or older who is a part- or full-time employee at the Gap can apply by submitting a head shot, a full-body shot and a recent pay stub by mail to Playboy by October 7, 2005.

A nude picture of a look-alike of supermodel
Tyra Banks has reportedly caused lots of confusion among the readers of a porno magazine, and it seems the strong headline, "Totally Tyra", isn't helping the confusion.

Xtreme has the African-American supermodel's look-alike posing naked on its cover page, who was "discovered" by a porn director at a shopping mall and stars in the just-released "Boned".
The model with Tyra's name, however, seems to have no qualms posing as "Tyra," and claims that she has never met her.
"I haven't met her; I haven't heard anything from her. I'm not sure she's heard about me!" the New York Post quoted her as telling Xtreme magazine.
She has also set up a Web site,
totallytyra.com.
The models's spokesperson, Cindi Berger, has however claimed that the model on the magazine is no where close to Banks.
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," she said.
"Clearly, this is not Tyra. Tyra doesn't smoke or drink, and she wouldn't pose nude in a million years," Cindi was quoted as telling Page Six.
"The Tyra Banks Show," the "America's Next Top Model" host's new WB talk show, debuts today. The other Tyra can next be seen in the porn video "That's Hot." "It's a Paris Hilton thing," she added.

Kelly Brook has told movie executives to cut the sex scenes from upcoming movie "Three", in which she co stars with Billy Zane.
According to The Hollywood News, Brook said the following regarding the scenes:
""It's a very sexy film, but there are scenes that I've asked to be removed. You go into a film with the idea of what you want to achieve and then it gets into the hands of others and it becomes something different."
It is quite ironic that the girl who is most famous for flashing her vital body parts, and being a model, is asking for the one thing that would attract many people to go watch this film, to be cut out of it! Still the sites creators wish her luck trying to get guys to go and see her just for her acting and nothing else!

Secret WWE Diva to pose next for Playboy has finally been leaked. She happens to be on the Raw roster and she will be at the Unforgiven pay-per-view this coming Sunday. The next WWE Diva to follow in the tender footsteps of Sable, Chyna, Torrie Wilson, Sable and Torrie again and Christy Hemme is none other than ..... Candice Michelle!
Candice Michelle joined World Wrestling Entertainment in November of 2004, the night after the Survivor Series I believe. Her gimmick was that of a hairdresser/makeup artist. She is best known as the girl to participate in the "GoDaddy.com" commercial that parodied the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction at the previous Super Bowl. She was traded over to Smackdown! at the trading deadline back in June in hopes of her getting more television time. She was eventually traded back to the Raw brand last month as she was "deemed too hot for network television" along with Torrie Wilson in exchange for Stacy Keibler and Christy Hemme. Candice will be at ringside this coming Sunday in Torrie and Victoria's corner as they take on Ashley Massaro and the returning Trish Stratus.

American Pie hottie
Shannon Elizabeth just turned thirty-two last Wednesday and she wanted to celebrate he birthday in--well--her birthday suit. According to an item in Page Six the actress likes to hold an all-day scavenger hunt on her birthday every year.
This year, the hunt has had a naked twist. Or naked Twister.
20 contestants — including
Mila Kunis, Alfonso Ribeiro and Elizabeth's new love, Aussie race car team manager Andrew Robillard — had to strip periodically in order to gain bonus points to win the grand prize: a bottle of Cristal, a bottle of Água Luca Brazilian rum, an MP3 player and unlimited one-year Napster downloads.
The teams — fueled in part by Agua Luca rum mojitos, martinis and pomegranate juice shots, decamped from Elizabeth's Los Feliz hilltop house and proceeded to pose for nude photos in front of the Improv on Melrose — and turn naked somersaults at the Los Angeles Zoo. The bareness continued at an unnamed friend's property, where the competitors ran a nude obstacle course — while being pelted with water balloons.
Um--okay--nothing wrong with that. I guess. The report also notes that Liz ended the day back at her place for what the spy called "a grand finale in the flesh."
But alas the source refused to elaborate. Oh--and Liz grabbed the top prize. I should hope--one only turns 32 once.

Ang Lee's new movie
Brokeback Mountain starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger,
Michelle Williams and
Anne Hathaway premiered at Venice and Toronto Film Festival last week. The movie is getting great reviews. But for us, the greatest moment on screen comes when Anne Hathaway, 22, bares her breasts as a rich girl out to snare Gyllenhaal. "I was 17 years old when I was cast in The Princess Diaries," Hathaway says. "That film landed, and it landed big. And so I became identified with a role that wasn't really me. I've never had any problem with going to the lengths of what a film demands. You can tell that by my eyebrows in The Princess Diaries."

Cat Deeley has said that she is not averse to the idea of stripping off for Playboy.
The stunning presenter has reportedly claimed that she would certainly consider posing naked for the men's magazine, if an offer comes her way.
"It's not like it's my aspiration to do it, but how I feel is, anything the world's got to offer, bring it on and I'll make a decision about it," the Sun quoted her as telling Glamour magazine.
