The latest publicity feast in director Feng Xiaogang’s not-yet-completed "The Banquet" is the issue of
Ziyi Zhang's nude scenes in the blockbuster film. Now a woman who says she was Zhang’s stand-in wants credit where credit is due.
Actress Shao Xiaoshan said she substituted for Zhang in some bathing and sex scenes. However, she is not listed in the credits. "If they don't add my name to the cast list, audiences will think that all the nude scenes were done by Zhang herself, which will be totally cheating me. I gave my body to the audience. I don't care whether my name is on the credits but I just want to tell the public that I did the nude scenes," Shao said on her blog.
According to Chongqing Evening News, after Shao exposed the issue on the Web, a staff member surnamed Zhao from Huayi Brothers, the film’s producer, terrified her in a telephone call and asked her to clarify to the media that she was not a stand-in for Zhang.
Huayi Brothers chairman Wang Zhongjun said there was no phone call and criticized Shao for promoting herself through the movie.
"If Shao was a stand-in not an extra, she must have had a contract before the shooting. If we included the credit issue in the contract, we'll definitely put her name in the credits. But since the film has not been shown to the public, how can Shao know that her name is not included in the credits?" Wang said.
Shao said: "Although there's nothing in the contract about including my name in the credits, I did stand in for Zhang in the nude scenes. Huayi should admit it." She also said that Zhang had three stand-ins for "The Banquet," including one for kung-fu fighting.
At this year's Cannes film festival, Zhang Ziyi told the media that she did not appear nude in the movie, indirectly confirming that she had a stand-in for the nude scenes.

The Playboy boss - who celebrated his 80th birthday last month (06.06) - says he has bedded so many beautiful ladies in his lifetime he has lost count.
He said: "I stopped counting a long time ago. My life is more about quality than quantity. Mind you, I still reckon I’ve easily had more than 2,000."

Natalie Portman will be seen completely naked during torture scenes in the upcoming historical drama 'Goya's Ghosts', which focuses on revered artist Francisco Goya.
Portman plays Goya's muse, Alicia, who becomes embroiled in a scandal after she is accused of being a heretic by a monk.
It is not the first time Portman has stripped off for a movie role.
She previously exposed her body in the complex romantic drama 'Closer', which also starred Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen, but the explicit scenes were eventually cut.
The 24-year-old actress, who appeared in the three 'Star Wars' prequels, has previously admitted she is uncomfortable being a sex symbol - because of her role in 'Leon'.
Portman shot to fame aged just 12 playing a young Lolita-esque orphan who befriends a hardened assassin in the critically acclaimed 1994 movie.
Although the role won her universal acclaim, the actress admits she found it disturbing that some men lusted after her - even though she was a child.
She said: "I had a bad experience when 'Leon' first came out.
"In hindsight, I'm really proud of that film, though at the time it was unnerving to find myself suddenly being looked at."

Kristin Davis of 'Sex and the City' fame was recently voted the most beautiful woman by Eve magazine.
The 41-year-old actress beat out Angelina Jolie, who just made the top 10 in the poll of approximately 4,000 women in their 30s.
"Kristin's natural beauty combined with her onscreen presence make her a woman with style and substance," said Sara Cremer, editor of Eve. "She exudes sex appeal without compromising her intelligence and independence. All the women in our top 10 are in their 30s and 40s, proving women just get better with age."

Sophia Loren will appear in her first ever nude shot in the next Pirelli calendar.
Loren, who turns 72 Sept. 20, will do a "tasteful" photo for next
year's edition of the calendar, which has been a sell-out collectible
throughout its 30-year life thanks to supermodels like Naomi Campbell
and actresses like Monica Bellucci, ANSA reported Tuesday.
Although Loren has done a few risqué scenes in her film career,
like her striptease for Marcello Mastroianni in "Yesterday, Today and
Tomorrow," she has repeatedly refused to appear nude on camera.

Jennifer Lopez won a legal ban on her ex-husband's plan to reveal intimate details of the actress' sex life in a tell-all book, according to court documents made public yesterday.
Ojani Noa agreed to a preliminary injunction, which will remain in effect until a trial can decide whether it should be made permanent.
"Noa will do anything within his power to make money off his ex-wife and thinks nothing of wilfully hurting Ms Lopez in the process," Lopez' lawyer Paul Sorrell said in court documents. "He is out of control."

Ashlee Simpson has supposedly snubbed Playboy's offer to pose nude for their men's magazine.
The Milli-Vanilli-ing singer was reportedly offered a whopping US$4 million to strip down for Hugh Hefner's famous publication. "Ashlee figures she's never looked better, so this may be the perfect time to do it," a pal of Simpson's told In Touch Weekly. "She feels confident and sexy and thinks this is one way for her to separate her image from Jessica's." While sources say the 21-year-old gave it serious thought, she ultimately turned the deal down.
Considering Simpson's recent comments to Britain's Marie Claire where she boasted about adoring her breasts, it's interesting she turned down the chance to really show them off. "I love my boobs," Simpson stated. "My sister always grew up having a larger chest. Whether you have big boobs or small boobs there are always pros and cons. If you have bigger you want smaller, and vice versa."

Lindsay Lohan has dismissed McFly drummer Harry Judd`s claim that they had sex as nothing but a publicity stunt.
The British pop star recently claimed the rumours he had bedded the `Mean Girls` actress were true, and revealed he had enjoyed a fling with the actress after meeting her while shooting `Just My Luck` last year.
However, Lohan is sticking by her denial.
Her publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, told America`s New York Post newspaper: "He is using these lies for publicity. It`s convenient how he`s making up these stories when he has an album coming out."
Judd claimed the pair`s brief romance started after the 19-year-old beauty asked him to kiss her while they were out clubbing.
He said: "I was really nervous because she is so successful and talented. I thought, `This is awesome`. "Then she invited me back to her hotel. I left at eight next morning."
