Good news everybody! Showgirls will be finally released on Blu-ray.
Two disc set titled "
Showgirls: 15th Anniversary Sinsational Edition" will be released on June 15th. The set will include the unrated NC-17 version of the film on Blu-ray and standard DVD discs and there will be a whole bunch of extra features included.
Special features include
- Pole Dancing: Finding Your Inner Stripper
- Lap Dance Tutorial Featuring the World-Famous Girls of Scores audio commentary by David Schmader titled “The Greatest Movie Ever Made”
- Showgirls Fact-Up Trivia
- A Showgirls’ Diary
It will be a daunting, but probably very enjoyable task to go through all the nude scenes again. Just for illustration purpose, to see how demanding and exhausting capping this movie will be, I included my first go at it when it was released on DVD for the first time.

The movie opens with Carey and her boyfriend having sex. During the scene we get a few shots of her left breast.
This is Carey first nude scene in the movie, although, to be fair, she filmed a topless scene for
When Did You Last See Your Father?, but that nude scene never made it into the final cut of the movie. Thankfully it was included among the DVD's deleted scenes.
Next chance to see Carey on the big screen will be in the movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, scheduled for release in September.

I covered Iron Man 2 stars in previous week since it was released in almost every other country but the US. Not much to add. I can write my experience watching it.
There was way too much dialogue in the beginning of the movie. Quite hard to follow all the nonsense. I only found out a couple of weeks ago that
Jon Favreau directed the movie. Until now I only knew his work as an actor, I didn't even know he directs movies as well. So I was quite impressed funny guy also a director. Then a scene comes up in the movie with him as Iron Man's driver (I forgot most of the first movie, so I didn't even know he was in it). My brain erupted like Eyjafjallajokull. "Get behind the camera you fucker. What the fuck are you doing in the movie? Who the fuck is directing this?" Calm down, calm down, concentrate on te movie... It's not like I've never seen director act and direct before. It was just weird seeing Favreau in front of the camera, knowing that he should be behind it.
A word or two on female stars in the movie. I remember photos of
Gwyneth Paltrow wearing sky high stilettos at Iron Man premiers a couple of years ago. I guess someone thought it would be great if Gwyneth would wear those killer high heels in the new movie as well. Wow, it was painful to watch her walk in those shoes. If Spanish Inquisition would still be around, they would probably include high heels in their torture practices. Come to think of it, they'd probably include
eels as well.
If memory serves me right, we see
Scarlett Johansson in lingerie twice and a few times in a tight spandex suit.
Kate Mara has only one short scene in the movie, delivering a subpoena to Tony Stark.
Olivia Munn shows up as a reporter at the Expo event.
Helena Mattsson was the hardest to spot. I think she was the girl holding a champagne bottle at Tony Stark's party.
As in the first movie, there's also a short teaser scene after the credits.

Vivid Entertainment just released
Mindy McCready’s sex tape yesterday and they are already working on their next big celebrity sex tape release.
They are planning to release
Kendra Wilkinson's sex tape that she made before she was engaged to and then married Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett.
Steven Hirsch founder and co-chairman of Vivid gave some details about the tape:
"We know that Kendra has millions of fans and we feel that it’s rare to find well-produced, hardcore footage of a star of her magnitude. The tape was brought to us by a third party and after consulting with our attorneys, we are confident in our right to distribute it. We’ve been trying to reach Kendra but have so far been unsuccessful. We therefore made the decision to release ‘Kendra Exposed’ to stores across the country by the end of May. We believe this could be our all time best selling celebrity tape.”
From the past experience with celebrity sex tape releases, it will probably take some more time before Kendra's sex tape sees the day of light. First Vivid has to get a release form from Kendra that says she's fine with sex tape being released, otherwise it will probably newer be released.

Nowadays, with the internet available in almost every corner of the world, it is very easy to stay informed about every possible thing that might interest you.
On my recent visit to Florence and Rome a simple thought was constantly going through my mind: How and where a regular Joe got his daily dose of celebrity nudity in the old days.
I didn't really get a clear answer to the question, but I have a feeling that collecting nude celebrity photos is more recent invention. With the exception of some very wealthy figures, I doubt anyone else could come up with enough gold florins to commission a famous artist to do a nude painting or a nude sculpture.
I assume people had the same lust for nudity in the old days, as we do now, not necessary celebrity nudity, but they still liked to look at naked women. Especially paintings and sculptures of naked women, as I found on during my visit of the
Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Artist mostly got their inspiration for the portrayed nudes from stories from The Bible and ancient Greek mythology.
While I was in Florence I visited the famous Uffizi Gallery, which had been open to visitors on request since the 16th century and was officially opened to the public in 1765.
Before you enter the gallery you can check out some nice sculptures in Loggia dei Lanzi:
Clash of the Titans fans will probably be impressed by Benvenuto Cellini's Perseus with the Head of Medusa, Spartacus: Blood and Sand fans will like statue of semi-nude barbarian prisoner Thusnelda. Two other statues that caught my eye were The Rape of the Sabine Women by Giambologna and Pio Fedi's The Rape of Polyxena.
While I was walking through the gallery I couldn't quite figure out why there were so many paintings and sculptures labeled "The rape of... ". Now, behind the computer I can google things up and, lo and behold, in the old days rape also meant abduction (raptio).
Since you're not allowed to take photos in the gallery (but I took some anyway), I combined what I saw in the gallery with what I could find on the internet.
The most impressive nude paintings were probably

Hans Baldung Grien's copy of Dürer's Eve.

While I was compiling this article I found out that I didn't see the most famous room in the Uffizzi Gallery: Tribuna of the Uffizi, an octagonal room in the gallery designed by Bernardo Buontalenti for Francesco I de' Medici in the late 1580s, the most important antiquities and High Renaissance and Bolognese paintings from the Medici collection were and still are displayed there. Beside the all of famous paintings, the nude statue of Venus de' Medici is also stored in that room. Apparently the room will be closed for restoration until June 2011.

Looks like
Lea Michele wasn't the only star of Fox's television show Glee who has done nudity in the past.
Lea appeared topless in Broadway's version of Spring Awakening from December 10, 2006 to May 18, 2008.
Lea's co-star
Heather Morris, the 23-year-old blonde who plays a high school cheerleader and glee clubber Brittany on the show, is also no stranger to nudity.
