I’ve been hearing and reading a lot about boosting your immune system to fight off or limit the effects of the coronavirus. None of the top articles from google’s search results seem to be peer reviewed, just top ten lists put together based on anecdotal evidence.
Reducing stress with yoga, meditation for example, take up exercise to get fit but staying away from dieting pills, get enough sleep preferably without the need of sleeping pills, eat more whole plant foods, consume healthy fats, eat more fermented foods if you can, limit added sugars, stay hydrated, avoid bad habits smoking, alcohol, candy… Preferably, you don’t tackle the above problems with prescription drugs, but use natural sources instead.
I try to do the staying fit part by taking up some cycling, but during these times you have to be extra careful when exercising. You don’t want to have some accident that would put you in ER waiting room where the chances of catching some bug are much greater than at home.
Yesterday I went for a cycling ride up a local hill. I was extra careful when I was descending, slow as a snail. A cyclist came up behind me, riding in my slip stream for a while. Not sure what exactly happened, but in a particularly sharp corner I heard a crash behind me. I was thinking of stopping to see if the guy was ok, but instead I followed the government’s advice and kept with social distancing. I did turn around at the bottom of the climb and went up the hill again I passed the guy again and luckily, he seemed to be ok, just some road rash.
So, the search tag of the day I wanted to
explore at Mr. Skin was workout, yoga, exercise. I got mixed feeling from the results. You quickly realize that keeping your body in shape is not any easy task. I could easily create a top ten list of celebs that used to be fit as fuck in their prime, but nowadays they really let them self go. Why, how do you go from this to that, what happened… Picked up too many bad habits? Would be interesting to know.
There was some nudity on the recent episode of Westworld, presumably
Katherine Murphy, appearing as 'Female Auction Asset #1'.
Perhaps some nudity in movie Tape, which tells the story of an aspiring actress (
Isabelle Fuhrman) who crosses paths with the darker side of the entertainment industry. The movie will be released on VOD tomorrow.
Getaway, a horror movie, starring
Scout Taylor-Compton, will be released next Tuesday. In the movie Scout portrays a woman who gets kidnapped by a backwoods cult.
I feel like I am shipwrecked in my own apartment, a modern-day Robinson Crusoe. Perhaps with slightly more food on my disposal than the hero of Daniel Defoe’s novel, but limited to movement within the borders of my municipality.
By chance, I noticed that Defoe also wrote a novel,
A Journal Of The Plague Year, describing the events of the Great Plague of London in 1665. Since he was born in c. 1660 it is believed that the source for the novel were his uncle’s journals.
The type of plague they were dealing with was a bubonic plague caused by a bacterium which was transmitted by a bite of an infected flea, or direct contact with infected tissue or exposure to the cough of another human.
Bubonic plague hasn’t been eradicated yet. If your plan was to escape the current pandemic by flying to Madagascar. Don’t, it’s among the countries with the greatest recorded number of Bubonic plague cases between 2010 and 2015, according to Wikipedia.
Here’s the account on how the plague started:
“It was about the beginning of September, 1664, that I, among the rest of my neighbors, heard, in ordinary discourse, that the plague was returned again in Holland ; for it had been very violent there, and particularly at Amsterdam and Rotterdam, in the year 1663, whither, they say, it was brought, some said from Italy, others from the Levant, among some goods which were brought home by their Turkey fleet ; others said it was brought from Candia; others from Cyprus, It mattered not from whence it came; but all agreed it was come into Holland again.”
We had no such thing as printed newspapers in those days, to spread rumors and reports of things, and to improve them by the invention of men, as I have lived to see practised since. But such things as these were gathered from the letters of merchants, and others, who corresponded abroad, and from them were handed about by word of mouth only ; so that things did not spread instantly over the whole nation, as they do now. But it seems that the government had a true account of it, and a several councils were held about ways to prevent its coming over, but all was kept very private, Hence it was that this rumor died off again, and people began to forget it, as a thing we were very little concerned in, and that we hoped was not true ; till the latter end of November, or the beginning of December, 1664, when two men, said to be Frenchmen, died of the plague in Long-acre, or rather at the upper end of Drury-lane.”
From then on Dafoe describes how the spread of the plague picked speed. He starts tracking the spread by the increase in the amount of weekly burials in the local parish compared to the average numbers of burials they would expect. Within five weeks the increase was almost two-fold above the average, so people started to panic. In coming months, with warmer weather, the number of people dying of plague started to fall. If I got it right, because the local authorities started to under report the number of deaths, attributing deaths from plague to spotted fever or something else, or not reporting deaths at all.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, those who could afford, mostly rich people, started fleeing London in droves. Heading for the countryside. In order to be able to travel past a roadblock or stay at an inn in another town, you needed a certificate of health, which was issued at Lord Mayor office. Dafoe, or his uncle, considered getting such certificate. Pondering whether he should resolve to stay in London, or shut up his house and flee.
“I had two important things before me : the one was the carrying on my business and shop, which was considerable, and in which was embarked all my effects in the world; and the other was the preservation of my life n so dismal a calamity, as I saw apparently was coming upon the whole city ; and which, however great it was, my fears perhaps, as well as other people's, represented to be much greater than it could be.”
In the end, Dafoe left it to a flip of a coin to decide whether he should stay or flee the plagued city… kind off.
"Add to this, that turning over the Bible, which lay before me, and while my thoughts were more than ordinarily serious upon the question, I cried out, " Well, I know not what to do; Lord, direct me! " and the like; and at that juncture I happened to stop turning over the book, at the 91st Psalm, and casting my eye on the second verse, I read to the seventh verse exclusive ; and after that, included the loth, as follows:
"I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge, and my fortress, my God, in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust : his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day : nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation, there shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling,"
I scarce need tell the reader, that from that moment I resolved that I would stay in the town…"
Starting with
Mindy Robinson, here are some other Robinson’s I found at Mr. Skin. Check it out two -week free membership for quarantined people.
I was curious to see how many pics Mr. Skin has under missionary tag. Ninety six pages. I was thinking, good thing I am quarantined, so I ‘ll have plenty of time to check out all the scenes in this category and perhaps missionary’s as well. Just to make sure how much time I've got., “
Alexa, how long will pandemic last?” Damn! I better get to it then.
I also found out today that I’ve been doing this quarantine thing all wrong. Actually, my whole life I've been doing it wrong. I decided to check out how talk shows interviews are performed these days and since
Sophie Turner was on Conan last week, I looked it up on
youtube. During the interview she mentions that you must be a psychopath to wear denim at home. I glance at my trousers. After changing into sweat pants I apologized to my nether regions for the torture I inflicted.

A few caps and a video clip of
Roxanne Kernohan from movie Critters 2: The Main Course.
Roxanne’s character in the movie comes to life when a faceless shape-shifting alien bounty hunter needs to change its form to something slightly less inconspicuous. Logic dictates, a busty Playboy centerfold in a g-string, with staple in her stomach.
The Blu-ray version of the movie crops out Roxanne’s breast from a few scenes. Luckily, you can check out the full frame clip at
Mr. Skin.

How time flies. It’s been thirty days since… I snoozed a “friend” on facebook. I just couldn’t bear with his ramblings anymore. Today his posts showed up in my newsfeed again. Apparently, coronavirus is just a distraction to install 5G network all over the country. So “they” can control us, and if we disobey, fry us.
I often wonder who’s “they” and how come “they” are immune to 5G. Must be them reptiles, who’ll finally be able to control us all the time with 5G keeping them warm all year round.
What I’ve been waiting for to pop up in my news feed though, is a good old Nostradamus quatrain explaining the current events. No luck. Like he was forgotten. And he has seen it all, everything up to year 3797. Which gives me some hope that this coronavirus won’t be the end of us.
Nostradamus mentions plague 44 times in his book
Les Prophéties. Here’s the first quatrain mentioning plague an the one that follows. Interpreting those quatrains, when you’re bored out of your mind, can be quite fun.
16
A scythe joined with a pond in Sagittarius
at its highest ascendant.
Plague, famine, death from military hands;
the century approaches its renewal.
17
For forty years the rainbow will not be seen.
For forty years it will be seen every day.
The dry earth will grow more parched,
and there will be great floods when it is seen.
My mind just did some random connections with the second one. Like clever dude this Nostradamus he prophesied the LGBT movement. And that was basically it. But an hour later I am listening to the
Queen’s address to the nation. And during the speech she says:
“…our national spirit and its symbol will be the rainbows drawn by children…”
So, unless this is just some delayed synchronicity moment, I’ll have to change my interpretation to “we can say goodbye to the next forty years“. I can’t tell if this is long or not. Alexa! What’s the longest lasting war in human history? Here’s something I found on WorldAtlas: The Iberian Religious Wars, which lasted 781 years, was the longest war in history. Hmm, forty years doesn’t sound that bad then.
The brain found the foreword to the Les Prophéties, written by Nostradamus himself, quite interesting as well. Luckily for us, it was written in 1555, so that would mean that events mentioned here have already passed.
But my son, lest I venture too far for your future perception, be aware that men of letters shall make grand and usually boastful claims about the way I interpreted the world, before the worldwide conflagration which is to bring so many catastrophes and such revolutions that scarcely any lands will not be covered by water, and this will last until all has perished save history and geography themselves.
This is why, before and after these revolutions in various countries, the rains will be so diminished and such abundance of fire and fiery missiles shall fall from the heavens that nothing shall escape the holocaust. And this will occur before the last conflagration. For before war ends the century and in its final stages it will hold the century under its sway. Some countries will be in the grip of revolution for several years, and others ruined for a still longer period. And now that we are in a republican era, with Almighty God's aid, and before completing its full cycle, the monarchy will return, then the Golden Age.
For according to the celestial signs, the Golden Age shall return, and after all calculations, with the world near to an all-encompassing revolution - from the time of writing 177 years 3 months 11 days - plague, long famine and wars, and still more floods from now until the stated time. Before and after these, humanity shall several times be so severely diminished that scarcely anyone shall be found who wishes to take over the fields, which shall become free where they had previously been tied.
This will be after the visible judgement of heaven, before we reach the millennium which shall complete all. In the firmament of the eighth sphere, a dimension whereon Almighty God will complete the revolution, and where the constellations will resume their motion which will render the earth stable and firm, but only if He will remain unchanged for ever until His will be done. This is in spite of all the ambiguous opinions surpassing all natural reason, expressed by Mahomet; which is why God the Creator, through the ministry of his fiery agents with their flames, will come to propose to our perceptions as well as our eyes the reasons for future predictions.
And if you are still in a mood for more apocalyptic, disaster, end of days stuff with a pinch of nudity, you can explore it further at
Mr. Skin. You can start with
Kirsten Dunst in Melancholia and go from there.
