Actually, these caps and clip are from L'enfer d'Henri-Georges Clouzot, a documentary about making of L'enfer, which was released in 2009.
French director Henri-Georges Clouzot, who is best known as the director of The Wages of Fear, Les Diaboliques and award winning documentary The Mystery of Picasso, never got to finish L'enfer for various reasons.
Several cast members left the production during the filming, cast and staff members suffered from heat and record temperatures at the time of filming. In the end Clouzot himself suffered a hart attack, while filming a hot scene between Romy and her co-star
Dany Carrel, which finally sealed the fate of the movie.
The director of the documentary accidentally found out about the existence of the lost film when he was stuck in an elevator with Henri-Georges Clouzot's widow. He recovered 185 reels of film, but the soundtrack was mostly missing or unusable.
The documentary includes interviews with nine cast and crew members and actors
Bérénice Bejo and Jacques Gamblin filmed a few studio scenes where dialogue had to be delivered. In 2010 the documentary received the César Award for Best Documentary.
