Chris went to an early screening of the new Twilight movie and submitted a review of Twilight's most interesting parts... when it comes to nudity.
I just screened Breaking Dawn. We all know it was cut back from an R to
a PG-13, but the MPAA still lists sexuality/partial nudity as part of
the justification.
The partial Nudity is worth talking about.
Scene 1:
Kristen Stewart's character goes skinny dipping, at night, on her
honeymoon. At first, strategic camera angles kept everything above the
neckline from front, and just above the hips from back. They start
fooling around in the water & I think I saw a grey/black blur
covering up the good top parts from a side angle. There may be
something there, there may not be. Maybe the grey/black blur is all
they needed to go from an R Rating to a PG-13?
Scene 2:
Honeymoon sex continues, but this time they're inside and it's well lit.
Their arms take turns blocking the mamaries for most of the scene.
For about 1/10th of a second I saw either a pastie or a boob. There was
definite redish coloration change. It was too fast to tell.
Scene 3:
A pregnant Kristen walks up to a full length mirror. The camera stays
directly behind her most of the time, but for again, a very brief
moment, in the mirror you see what may be either 1/2 a nipple or a
pastie or maybe even CGI. I have to say CGI because as I mentioned, she
was pregnant in this scene and Kristen Stewart is not a mother.
For each of these 3 scenes, I won't be convinced until I see the HD
stills.
The good news is the MPAA lists partial nudity in the rating and no one
else even came close to showing anything, so we can be sure one of these
scenes is the real deal. The bad news is the nudity is not the
way-hotter
Ashley Greene or the super-cute
Anna Kendrick.
I am not able to break down the nude scenes in Another Happy Day so meticulous because I haven't seen it yet. The MPAA rating for the movie lists graphic nudity as one of the reasons for an R rating. I'm sure it would be too much to expect any nudity from Kate Bosworth, who had her chance to go naked in Straw Dogs, but didn't. Who knows, maybe it will be Laura Coover, who recently stripped naked on Boss. On the other hand, it could be male nudity, since one of the characters in the movie ODs and usually when that happens they strip the person naked and throw them in a bathtub full of ice-cold water.
