In a recent group interview Avatar's director James Cameron said that a sex scene between Sam Worthington and
Zoe Saldana was cut from the movie to keep the PG-13 rating.
According to Cameron uncut version of the sex scene will probably be included on the DVD's extra features.
"We had it in and we cut it out, so that will be something for the special edition DVD, if you want to see how they have sex," Cameron said in a group interview.
Zoe Saldana also spoke of the sex scene.
"It was a very funny scene to shoot because there were so many technical things that sometimes you have to keep in mind that paying attention to all those might disrupt the fluidity of how a scene is supposed to take place," she said.
"And because Jim was shooting for a PG-13 rating, we couldn’t move in certain directions. The motion would look a little too past the PG-13 rating standards. So it was really funny for Sam and me. We had a lot of giggles there."
One thing that crossed my mind after seeing Avatar and how Na'vi connect with animals and each other was that there would be no way for Na'vi women to fake orgasm during sex. You could instantly know if she is moaning from pleasure or just faking it.
