I often wondered what kind of calendar publishers of magazines use. For example it’s late in March and I am already served with May’s issues. Here’s a little bit of interesting trivia about Playboy magazine that answers this question... at least for them, I don’t know why other publishers are doing the same thing.
Since Playboy was not able to meet the publishing deadline for the March, 1955 issue, they published the late March issue as the April issue and have continued to publish issues a month early every since then.
Margot Kidder, Canadian-American actress, best known for playing Lois Lane in the Superman had a full frontal pictorial in March, 1975 issue of the Playboy magazine. The accompanying article was written by her and I think that it’s even more interesting than the nude pictorial itself.
Kidder posed for Playboy three years before she landed the role of Lois Lane in the 1978 film Superman: The Movie.
Kidder became a United States citizen on August 17, 2005, in Butte, Montana. She said the reason for her decision to become an American citizen is to participate in the voting process, to continue her protests against U.S. intervention in Iraq.

Denise Crosby had a nude pictorial in March, 1979 issue of Playboy magazine. Denise is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Security Chief Tasha Yar on the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, but back in 1979 she was mostly known as a grand-daughter of actor and comedian Bing Crosby.

Shannen Doherty had her second Playboy pictorial in March, 1994 issue of the magazine. One of the pictures from the pictorial was tagged Newlywed Shannen Doherty caps a wild year... she divorced her husband Ashley Hamilton in April 1994.
