Sienna Miller was awarded $27,000 in a settlement Tuesday over her naked photos with then-boyfriend Balthazar Getty that circulated the Internet months ago.
In the nude pics, Miller was topless on a yacht with Getty, an heir to the Getty Oil fortune, as they lounged and kissed on the deck of the ship in Italy. Shortly after, Getty, a co-star on the show "Brothers & Sisters", announced he was separated from his wife, Rosetta, with whom he has four children.
Soon thereafter, Miller's house in North London was vandalized with the term "slut" and the pictures were circulated all across the Internet.
Miller was awarded the damages in an out-of-court settlement with two British tabloids for breach of privacy.
Miller sued the Sun and News of the World over their publication of the intrusive photos and coverage of her relationship with Getty, which she felt was damaging to her career. The British tabloids suggested Sienna was a home-wrecker and that she started seeing Getty while he was still with his wife Rosetta.
Miller and Getty broke up recently, partly due to the negative coverage surrounding the pics and their relationship. Miller told reporters recently that she was "single at the moment, and I'm completely happy with that."
In her previous relationship, Miller was cheated on by her then-fiancé Jude Law, who cheated on her with the nanny of his children in 2005.
