Actually, kind of forgot where I wanted to go with this one. I was on vacation for the last couple of weeks and figured I’d prepare something in advance in case I have trouble accessing the internet while traveling. So I did these Rose McIver clips.
Used ChatGPT to get me through the first two posts, since I never know what to write about anyway. To somewhat finish the whole STD story. Since the script for Masters of Sex was not written by Agatha Christie, we don’t get any Hercule Poirot resolution to the mysterious STD patient zero carrier. So, I’ll go of tangent here and continue with a rant about AI.
Don’t like it. Or, somewhat afraid of where it might lead to. A guy in an airport lounge was talking to his chatbot like it was a real person. Asking it about his new tattoo he picked up in Bali. Why does it itch. What to do to prevent itching. I guess the chatbot is still in its infancy and suggested using some ointment to relief the itch.
I was thinking, if I do search for tattoo ointment cream on search engine today, I’ll get some sponsored results first. What prevents these chatbots from pushing sponsored results on me this way. Asking about some product, and AI trying to sell me stuff that someone advertises with the AI company instead of something that actual people rate high and use. I guess a few people will have to die first before this gets regulated…
