The series centers around Catherine of Aragon (
Charlotte Hope), the eponymous Spanish princess who became Queen of England as the first wife of King Henry VIII.
In the clip below Catherine catches Anne Boleyn seducing her husband. Anne later became the second wife of King Henry VIII. Here’s Eddie Izzard explaining intricacies of
divorcing and marrying in 16th century as enacted by King Henry VIII. Probably not historically accurate, but neither is the series.
