A private detective (Guy Pearce) is hired by an eccentric businessman and scientists, who builds highly advanced A.I. units in guarded sealed off city district, to find his missing daughter Melissa.
He teams up with Jane (Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz), a sentient android who offers to help him track down Melissa in exchange for his help in tracking down her stalker.
