The movie is about a young American couple who go to a vacation to the Greek island of Santorini where they meet other free spirited tourists, mainly a French woman portrayed by
Valérie Quennessen, who gives them a lesson in promiscuity.
With the portrayal of free love, iconic pictures of Santorini’s Oia village and catchy soundtrack, you’d think the movie was financed by Greek’s Ministry for Tourism. It was a popular destination for young travelers in the 80s and 90s. I landed there once for a summer vacation, middle of the 90s. Just a bunch of old people on the beaches, no partying, the island look deserted, and I don’t have any memories of those famous white houses of Oia village. We moved to Ios a couple of days later… a totally different story.
