Mia is best known for playing the role of Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, Sloane Peterson, in the 1986 comedy hit Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She made her movie debut a year earlier in alongside Tom Cruise and Tim Curry in Ridley Scott's fairy-tale film, Legend, in which she portrayed Princess Lili. Another notable movie role was alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in Timecop.
