And now for something completely different.
World Economic Forum, a Swiss nonprofit foundation, is holding its annual meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. The forum’s goal is to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas.
The only stories related to the forum that popped up in my news feed so far were about the richest 1% of the world’s population owning more wealth than the rest of the planet.
Kind of sad, because there are so many interesting panels, discussions, round tables, speeches… on various topics going on, and the only thing about the forum in my news feeds are clickbait articles…
First video from the forum I watched was
a speech by Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, who shared his insights and the progress made since launching an ambitious initiative to end cancer.
Next was
Shakira, she was
presented with Crystal Award for leadership in advancing early childhood education.
Matt Damon was having a discussion about access to clean water…
