De Palma, a documentary about the famous film director Brian De Palma, is the only movie coming out this week which is rated R for nudity. Graphic nudity to be exact.
The graphic nudity will probably be an archive footage from one of his films featuring male nudity. I can’t remember any such scene though. In case censors were offended by female frontal nudity, then a couple of scenes from De Palma’s movies spring to mind… opening shower/locker scene from Carrie and
Rebecca Romijn’s bush in Femme Fatale.
Carlito's Way, Body Double and Dressed to Kill are three more De Palma’s movies worth checking out for nudity.
Penelope Ann Miller is topless in Carlito's Way, and
Nancy Allen in Dressed to Kill and
Melanie Griffith in Body Double..
According to reports from LA Film Festival,
Alia Shawkat is nude in Paint It Black, a drama which was written and directed by
Amber Tamblyn.
Alia, who is best known for starring on Arrested Development, portrays a young woman dealing with the emotional aftermath of her boyfriend’s suicide.
To get her mind off of things she decides to volunteer as a nude model for a portraiture class, there she strikes up conversation with one of the students and they sneak into a nearby home for some illicit swimming and a romantic tryst.
