The HD version of the movie was released last year and among other extra features it also includes audio commentary with director John Duigan and producer Sue Milliken.
I mentioned one thing from the commentary in my previous post. To show the characters of Hugh Grant and Tara Fitzgerald go on their journey from England to Australia they used a stock film footage of an ocean liner, a stock footage of Titanic to be exact, since they couldn’t find any other.
Another thing I found interesting was inspiration for a couple of scenes in the movie. The panting Hylas and the Nymphs by John William Waterhouse inspired on nude scene from Sirens and John Everett Millais’ paining Ophelia was inspiration for my favorite scene in the movie.
