Judge puts an end to Rock sex film
A federal judge in Detroit signed an order preventing the Kid Rock sex video from ever seeing the light of day, his lawyer said Wednesday.
"The order basically amounts to the defendants throwing in the towel," Troy lawyer Michael Novak said a day after U.S. District Judge John Feikens signed an order prohibiting anyone from disseminating the tape.
Novak said David Joseph and World Wide Red Light District, which agreed to the order, are holding out hope that they can strike a deal with Rock to permit the release of the tape, "but that's never going to happen."
Rock sued last month after the California porno site announced plans to market the video. It shows Rock, several women and former Creed singer Scott Stapp having fun on a concert tour bus near Miami in 1999.
Stapp and one of the women also sued to block the release of the tape, which Stapp said had been stolen.
