In short, I had to do something about the web traffic generated by this website. The site was consuming way too much bandwidth, around 500GB/day. Unfortunately, revenue from ads didn't go hand in hand with increase in traffic. I decided to make a few changes which only affect unregistered users.
Now, by default, unregistered users will only get to see two thumbnails per appearance and only thumbs for news articles that are older than three months.
Nothing has actually changed for registered users, except for how thumbnails load. Now they should load dynamically as you scroll down the page in order to conserve some bandwidth.
I think that's mostly it about the recent changes to the web site, there were also some changes how fakes are displayed, but again, no drastic changes for registered users.
