I noticed that Andrew Dice Clay appeared on a couple of
talk shows recently, so I decided to check one of them.
I was kind of hopping for a new stand up act, since he used to make me laugh all the time. Turned out that he stars in Blue Jasmine, Woody Allen’s latest comedy with
Cate Blanchett and
Sally Hawkins in the leading roles.
So, one thing lead to another, and I find myself making caps from Desert Flower, drama starring Sally Hawkins and
Liya Kebede.
And now I am feeling all bummed about it since Desert Flower carries a serious message in it… The movie is an autobiography of a Somalian nomad circumcised at 3, sold in marriage at 13, who fled from Africa a while later, became a model and is now a spokeswoman against female genital mutilation.
