Chloë Sevigny often dislikes the sexy and sleazy characters she plays in many movies but says that is her way of rebelling against her strict catholic upbringing.
According to contactmusic.com, Sevigny is shocked that her fans see her as provocative and controversial in her choice of films since she is one of the most conservative people. She says she often feels dirty after doing movies like "Boys Don't Cry", "Gummo", "The Brown Bunny", and "Kids".
She says: "They all make me uncomfortable. All sex scenes, all kissing, all anything. Being intimate with people that you don't want to be with is very awkward. Some movies that I have done, I felt it (sex scenes) was necessary, but I'd rather not do them."
