Joely currently stars on Netflix’s series, The Gentlemen. Apparently, a spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s movie The Gentlemen.
I could be wrong, since I only FF through the movie the series is based on, but I don’t think any characters that appear in the movie appear on the series as well. The only connection to the movie would be vaguely the plot, aristocrats mingling with gangsters over a massive weed business as said in one of the reviews.
The style of the series seems different than the movie though, actually watchable with likable characters, although most of them amoral.
The series follows Edward Horniman, a former UN peacekeeping officer, who unexpectedly inherits an estate of 15,000 acres and the title of Duke of Halstead. However, he learns that the land has become part of a weed-growing empire.
On the series Joely portrays Edward’s mother, Lady Sabrina Horniman, who wants to keep her family away from criminal activity.
