Halle Berry has admitted that she was afraid starring in the controversial race drama 'Monsters Ball', which eventually earned her a Best Actress Oscar Award, would signal the end of her career. The 'X-Men' star was apparently scared that the high-risk film would be fatal to her career due to the limited budget and the explicit sex scene between her and actor Billy Bob Thornton.
"I thought this movie could end my career," she told British comedian and talk show host Jonathan Ross. "It was low budget, I had a very explicit sex scene, I thought this will be bad. I was worried."
Reclling her surprise at winning the Oscar Award for the role, she said: "All I remember was Russell Crowe saying 'Just breathe, mate!'"
