Although it hasn’t received the green light to exhibit it, the company
that holds the rights to the much-talked-about, little-seen Colin
Farrell sex tape, Phoenix-based Internet Commerce Group (ICG), has come
out in the open and is trying to drum up business.
ICG, which owns affiliate marketing programs
XXXCash.com,
CelebrityCash.com and
MilitaryCash.com, has announced plans to distribute the Irish lothario’s exploits with Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain at
HollywoodSexTapes.com.
The only problem is, the company doesn’t have legal clearance to broadcast anything yet.
Farrell filed suit against ICG in Los Angeles Superior Court last July
to stop the tape from seeing the light of day, with high-powered
entertainment lawyer Martin Singer leading the charge. Ironically,
Singer previously represented sex tape peddler and
Paris Hilton ex Rick Salomon in Salomon’s crusade to release the Hilton tape.
ICG’s attorneys have filed for dismissal of the lawsuit, Singer has
amended his complaint and the case was moved to federal court, where
ICG hoped to turn it into a far-reaching copyright issue.
Monday, the case was moved back to state court.
While Farrell doesn’t want the tape released,
Nicole Narain is pushing hard to cash in.
David Gingras, the lawyer representing ICG in the case, says the
situation presents the potential for a precedent-setting interpretation
of copyright law.
“I’d like to think this is a no-lose situation,” he says. “If we do
lose, this will be the rule for every other [similar] case that arises.
If you have one person on a tape that says ‘I don’t want it out there,’
if there are 20 people on the tape and one can stop everyone else, that
will really restrict people’s access to information.
“We view it as a pretty important case to win,” Gingras says. “There
are issues in this case that could go all the way to the U.S. Supreme
Court.”
Before Farrell’s sex tape became the center of a discussion involving
the Supreme Court, it was just another fringe adult industry
distraction. ICG chief executive Sal Abbate says the tape initially was
offered to him for $1 million, the caveat being that Narain was likely
the only one who would agree to its broadcast. Abbate says he scoffed
at the price tag. Meanwhile, upon hearing of Narain’s intention,
Farrell’s lawyers sprang into action, hitting ICG with the lawsuit.
“At that point, I said wait a minute, we didn’t do anything wrong,”
Abbate says. “We’re like Blockbuster Video. We said if the tape is
legal, we’ll be a distributor.”
Since then, Farrell has accused ICG of using his image for profit and
Narain has signed a deal with the company. The Playmate also has taken
to the media, recently appearing on the MSNBC show Rita Cosby's Live
& Direct, where she pleaded her case.
Now onto the sex tape site: No, HollywoodSexTapes.com isn’t
broadcasting anything. It simply consists of a teaser for the Farrell
tape, followed by links to purchase other legal-to-sell celebrity sex
tapes.
Clever marketing? Wishful thinking? Cheap trickery?
“At the end of the day, we want to let people know where it’s going to
be available, pending litigation,” Abbate says of the tape and the site.
“Right now, things are looking good from a legal standpoint,” he
continues. “Nicole is a copyright holder, and she has gone ahead and
agreed to exercise that copyright. We feel we have a really good chance
of winning this thing.”
Singer did not return a call seeking comment.

Lisa Guerrero is proud to show off her 41-year-old curves in the
January issue of Playboy. But the sportscaster-turned-actress doesn't
want you to see some nude pics she did 18 years ago.
Phoenix-based agent David Hans Schmidt says that back when she was 23,
Guerrero arranged for photographer Lloyd Wainscott to shoot the
alluring images shortly after she got breast implants. Then sporting
blond hair, she posed in a lacy white gown with matching garter and
G-string.
When Wainscott read that Guerrero had posed for Playboy, he asked
Schmidt to see if the mag wanted to see pictures of her before she
became an obsession of male fans of Fox's "The Best Damn Sports Show
Period" and ABC's "Monday Night Football.
Schmidt says he sought Guerrero's blessing by approaching her agent,
Ken Lindner. Her spokesman, Marcel Pariseau, confirms that Lindner's
office told Schmidt "to approach Playboy. They felt it was the right
thing to do."
However, when Playboy's editors decided they'd spent enough on the
pictorial, Guerrero's handlers "agreed I should seek other offers,"
Schmidt says.
But after we called Guerrero's camp, her lawyer Kristin Allen said her
client wanted no part of the deal. "Those were personal pictures Lisa
took for her then-boyfriend," says Allen, a lawyer for Guerrero, who is
now married to veteran major-league pitcher Scott Erickson. "They were
never intended for publication. She never gave a release.
"We tried to control the situation, however, we now realize that it is impossible to maintain control."
Both sides are now threatening legal action. Schmidt says, "They gave
me the green light. Then they shut it off. Playboy has pictures coming
out in her 40s. I have pictures of her in her 20s. Which would you
rather see?"

Judi Dench finds it hard to keep her clothes on

movie, the bawdy Mrs Henderson Presents, but admits a string of

"I remember one particular production of Henry VI when I came on stage
with my bra attached to my dress and a little more on display than I
had intended.

According to late news, Hollywood actress
Jennifer Aniston and her
rumoured lover, the Break Up co-star Vince Vaughn, are not ready yet to
settle down, the couple just having fun and a lot of sex.
A source quoted by the Star magazine said: "They're just having lots of
sex and Vince knows how to turn her on. She's flat out said several
times Vince is not marriage material."
Aniston, 36, who recently end up her divorce with Hollywood superstar
Brad Pitt, is also rumoured of saying that despite the fact that she
doesn't know if she wants to marry Vaughn, she's thinking into having
his babies.
Jennifer recently declared during a GQ interview: "In five years, I

Kate Winslet is thrilled about her latest role in
"Little Children" because she thinks she looks good naked. Winslet
admits she was a bit concerned when she realised that she would have to
strip for the role where she plays a terrible mother, reported

Almost a quarter of British motorists admit they have been so
distracted by roadside billboards of semi-naked models that they have
dangerously veered out of their lane.
In research released Monday, one in five male drivers said their eyes
were diverted from the road by posters of scantily clad women -- such
as the saucy cleavage shots of model
Eva Herzigova in her notorious adverts for Wonderbra.
However only one in 10 women were put off by the sight of a semi-dressed male model.
Flashing warning signs, huge advertising hoardings and Christmas decorations were also said to be major distractions.
"There is a growing body of concern about the lack of any coherent
strategy for arranging roadside furniture," said Mark Young, an expert
in transport ergonomics from Brunel University.
He said novel advertising could cause a significant risk of distracting
drivers at crucial times, such as going around a difficult roundabout.
"In fact, this risk is probably underestimated and we need to do more
research on the possibility of excluding non-essential information when
the driver is already busy dealing with the road," he said.
The study, by Privilege Insurance, said a 5 second distraction at 60
mph equated to driving at least the length of a soccer pitch without
fully concentrating.
