Teri Hatcher seems to be just as desperate for love in real life as the character she plays on 'Desperate Housewives.'
Hatcher has hatched an autobiography, 'Burnt Toast and Other Philosophies of Life,' to be released on May 2, which reportedly tells all about her fizzled marriages and difficulties finding a man, reports the UK's Daily Mail.
"People expect that if you're pretty, successful, the boyfriend mission should be easy," Hatcher reportedly said in her book.
The 41-year-old actress discussed her second marriage to actor Jon Tenney in the book, which got off to a rough start when they failed to consummate their marriage on their honeymoon.
But divorce did not spice up Hatcher's sex life. "If I thought getting divorced was going to open up an arena of endless sexcapades, I was wrong," she allegedly admitted.
"I never thought I'd be over 40 and have no one to go to dinner with, nor someone who loves me and whom I trust, but here I am. Sad but true."
Despite her fame and fortune the cold hard cash doesn't keep Hatcher warm at night. "Money is a less-than-adequate substitute for love," she said.

Hollywood actor Kevin Costner has been revealed as the celebrity accused of performing a sex act while having a massage at a prestigious hotel in Scotland in October 2004.
Costner was accused of this act at a British employment tribunal by a former spa worker.
The 34-year-old spa worker giving the massage claimed she had been unfairly dismissed after she made a complaint to management about Costner's behaviour, reported The Times.
She settled for an undisclosed sum before the tribunal hearing was due to start yesterday.
An earlier ruling had prevented the actor's identity from being revealed, but the tribunal chairman lifted the restriction.
He said that Costner's name had already entered the public domain following widespread media reports outside the UK as well as Internet blogs which alleged that he was the culprit.
The 51-year-old actor had been on honeymoon with his new wife in St Andrews when he went for the massage.
He was accused of taking off his towel during the massage, exposing himself and then performing a sex act.
'It was disgusting and, even though he was a Hollywood superstar, I couldn't believe he thought he could get away with something like that,' the Scottish masseuse told the tribunal.
'When I was giving his wife a massage afterwards, I wanted to tell her everything,' she said.

Cindy Margolis, known as the "Most Downloaded Woman" on the Internet, is following up her win on "Celebrity Cooking Showdown" with a career first - posing nude for Playboy.
The mother of three told The Associated Press that she finally agreed to pose for the magazine when they called on her 40th birthday.
"Thank goodness for 'Desperate Housewives.' You're not dead just because you are married and have children," the actress and model said Monday, on the phone from her Los Angeles home.
After turning down offers to pose for the magazine in the past, Margolis said she accepted this time because she felt posing nude at the age of 40 is empowering.
"In the past it would have been for gratuitous reasons," she said.
Now, Margolis said, she is enjoying being the ultimate desperate housewife.
"It will be fun to go up against the 20-year-olds and show them that they don't have anything on me," she said.
Margolis has appeared in "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" and the annual "Lingerie Bowl."
She has made headlines in recent years for her struggles with infertility. She is the national spokeswoman for Resolve: The National Infertility Association and is also writing a book about the subject.
"I just want to make it more mainstream for people to understand infertility, to understand surrogacy and adoption," she said.
Margolis, a former "Price is Right" model, gave birth to son Nicholas in 2002 after a high-risk pregnancy. The child was her first with husband, Guy Starkman. In 2005 Margolis and Starkman welcomed twins Sabrina and Sierra into the family. The twins were carried by a surrogate mother, and are biologically the couple's by in-vitro fertilization.
"It doesn't matter how you get your baby, even if it's via FedEx as long as you get to hold your precious baby in your arms. You can have your miracle child," Margolis said.

Colin Farrell's former lover
Nicole Narain could still face a legal battle over the sex tape she filmed with the Alexander star. The former Playboy Playmate, who tried to sell the saucy recording to the Internet Commerce Group (ICG) for which she was sued by Farrell, could now be sued by ICG for refusing to release the tape. Legal bosses say the model could find herself slapped for loss of earnings by the internet firm, who promised her a six-figure sum for the video's release and 60 per cent of the profits. Farrell and Narain's lawyers reached an agreement to keep the tape under wraps last week however the actor still intends to sue ICG, with a trial set for July in Los Angeles.

Couple of great films with a touch of "extra spice" we all like, to start the week off. First up, we have this excellent US teen take on "Les liaisons dangereuses". Like the following film I'm going to plug, its a favourite from my own personal collection too.
Sarah Michelle Gellar delivers a superbly sexy and bitchy performance in playing her part of wicked games and attempting to wreck lives in the process. A real departure from "Buffy", very horny and some nice cleavage. The main scene to leave you gobsmacked though is, of course, the lesbian kiss with a very innocent

Maybe you've just come in from an evening out and fancy a little arousing soft core action to get it in the mood to round it off! Well, this series definitely hits the spot. Two real stunners head up the cast, both very experienced in their chosen acting profession, in
Holly Sampson, as Emmanuelle, and
Shauna O'Brien. Both very famous in the adult movie scene, I was interested to find out that Holly, who is also in Gia, started out in such programmes as US comedy My Two Dads and the excellent The Wonder Years, which was to have a conveyor belt of future sexy talent in two of the shows main stars -
Olivia d'Abo and
Danica McKellar. Holly, however, found it more profitable to stray off the mainstream, and with her gorgeous body (particularly when wet!) you cant blame her and I, for one, am glad she did! Jerry is attracted to the actor because of his paternal instincts towards lover Angelina Jolie's adopted children. She said: "I know everybody loves Brad, but the main reason I like him is because I love the way he looks after Angelina's kids."
Meanwhile, Jerry has slammed women who have plastic surgery - branding cosmetic enhancements a "sickness" on society. The supermodel-turned-actress - who has had four children - has vowed never to go under the knife because she doesn't want to look like a "monster". Never one to miss an opportunity, actress and world activist
Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to reprise her role as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider 3.
The actress, who is currently in Namibia with Brad Pitt and her two children, Maddox and Zahara, is heavily pregnant and due to give birth next month in the African country.
The character's creator Ian Livingston told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Paramount has optioned it and Angelina has agreed to star in the third."
The actress is said to be determined to get her body in shape for the part.
A source tell the Daily Express: "Angelina is already in training to make sure she gets rid of her post-pregnancy bulge.
"She wants to be in tip-top shape and look better in Lara's outfit than ever."
Meanwhile, wedding rumors have sparked yet again Jolie and Pitt ordered to tighten security at the Namibian hideaway they have been staying at for several days.
