If you prefer to look at the world through the bottom of a glass, like captain Jack Sparrow, you are bound to encounter strange creatures on your voyages. According to Jack, he will have to deal with zombies, cut-throats, mermaids and vicious and gracious
Penélope Cruz on his quest to find the fountain of youth.
Since zombies are not my thing I decided to take look at the lovely sea creatures Jack will supposedly encounter on his quest to eternal life: mermaids (I'll leave Penelope Cruz for some other time).
Gemma Ward, lovely Australian model turned actress, and French actress
Astrid Berges-Frisbey landed the roles of the Mermaid and the Syrena in
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Since filming of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie only just begun, there aren't any photos of Gemma and Astrid as mermaids. So, I decided to take a look at some other memorable mermaids we've encounter on the big and small screens through the years.
My all time favorite mermaid is, and probably always will be
Daryl Hannah from Splash. Every time I see her underwater scenes from Splash, I am just speechless. The way she moves around, and doesn't have the slightest expression on her face that she's holding her breath under water, is just amazing.

Eva Mendes stars alongside Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in the comedy The Other Guys. In a recent
interview for Allure magazine Eva complained that no one compliments her bravery for going full frontal on the big screen. I wish I could do that, but If memory serves me right, last and the only time we've seen her hairy bush was almost ten years ago in
Training Day. Not to mention, if you're going to release a
sex tape, show some goods for god's sake. Only cowards and
Paris Hilton have sex with lights off.

Laura Ramsey and
Jacinda Barrett star opposite Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi in Middle Men, movie about the pioneers of internet commerce. I am fairly interested in seeing this movie, not just because of the nudity, but to see what did I do wrong to not have a Gulfstream in my parking lot.
I don't think we'll see Laura or Jacinda nude in the movie, but there are plenty of porn stars among the cast list that probably didn't have any problems going naked.
An orgy scene was reportedly cut from the movie to insure that movie wasn't slapped with NC-17 ratting. Hopefully, a better version of this scene will be included on a DVD, once it is released.

Well, it doesn't really, I just had to come up with an interesting title. Satisfied?
Eva Green,
María Valverde and
Juno Temple strip out of their clothes and go for a group skinny dipping in Cracks. Unfortunately, we only get to see all three actresses from a side view. While I can't complain about their nicely shaped boobs, I would still prefer to see them from the front.
Luckily, a back-up plan for Eva and Maria is to see The Dreamers and Melissa P. Nothing left to imagination there. And according to people who have seen Juno Temple's upcoming movie Kaboom, we'll get plenty of nude scenes to feast our eyes on.

Here’s a list of interesting celebrity appearances on talk shows this week.
Julia Roberts will be guest on Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday. Julia's new movie Eat Pray Love, based on a book by
Elizabeth Gilbert's best seller with the same title, comes to theaters in a couple of weeks.
Eva Mendes will have several appearances on talk shows this week. You can catch her on Live With Regis and Kelly today, Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday and Chelsea Lately on Thursday. Eva stars opposite Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in comedy The Other Guys.
After a week long vacation in Europe, Paris Hilton is back to work. She will reveal her future plans and projects on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson on Thursday.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who stars opposite Michael Cera in comedy Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, will be guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow.
