A few caps and a video clip of
Sarah Miles from 1963 movie The Servant.
When I was reading the interview with Sarah last week, which accompanied her nude pictorial published in Playboy magazine in August 1976, a statement, that she incidentally launched a new era of screen nudity in movie The Servant, got me interested in checking out the movie.
“That film really made a great stir in England. There was a naked scene in the bathroom, which had never been done before. If you’re first at anything, like wearing the first miniskirt, you’re stamped forever. The scene provoked criticism, especially from my parents, and their servants, who left because of it. My mother and father came to see me after a preview and said, ‘Sarah, you’ve destroyed your career and us and everything we stand for.’ At least they admitted they were wrong when the reviews came out.“
The scene in question turned out to be rather disappointing. Sarah's naked back is facing the camera and when she’s moving around, you can see a hint of a strapless bra or pasties like contraption that is covering her breasts.
It took another seven years for her to get rid of the bra thing in movie Ryan's Daughter, which you can
check out at Mr. Skin along with her other nude scenes from movies.

A few caps and a couple of clips of British actress
Sarah Miles from movie The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea.
In the movie Sarah portrays a sexually frustrated widow, with a Damien like kid, who meets a sailor (Kris Kristoferson) who takes care of those frustrations. Or so the thumbnails I have up for this movie would have us believe.
Turns out most of the thumbs are exclusive photos from the movie set that were published in Playboy magazine in August 1976. An imdb review says the steamy Playboy pictorial featuring the two stars effectively ended Kristofferson's marriage to Rita Coolidge. According to Wikipedia the couple divorced in 1980…
Any more things I learned? Another article mentioned that Sarah was a troubled, rebellious teenager. Broke legs of two other girls at a hockey match and for a gag tripped a female classmate which resulted in a broken collarbone.
Wikipedia also mentions in passing that she drinks her urine.
“That's what all Indians do!" she harrumphs. "That's what Ghandi did. That's what Nero did! That's what everybody that I think looks fantastic in old age does! I thought: 'Well, if they all look that bloody good, I think I'll have a go!' It tastes like good beer. You take it mid-flow every evening and morning.
You just swig it down. It tastes fine."
And for how many years have you been drinking your own urine, Sarah? "Thirty."
She can tell by the look on my face that I'm horrified. "Urine! It immunises you against your own allergies. Clinics use it for cancer. It is used for all kinds of illnesses.
"Why does humanity have a problem with me drinking my own urine? I can't wait to get off this planet!"
I am not sure if the last sentence was her quote or the interviewers.
Perhaps someone will take interest in the guy who wrote the screenplay for the movie. Yukio Mishima is his name. A Japanese writer, among other things, who was three times considered for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Though, he’ll mostly be known as a guy who committed a seppuku after a failed attempt at coup d'état to restore the power of the emperor.
