A new sex tape starring Gene Simmons, bassist for legendary rock band KISS, has reportedly surfaced, featuring the ageing rocker having sex with a blonde model – but Simmons has revealed on his website that that the tape is "from my past".

The video, which has circulated quickly around the internet, sprung up on a website – GenesSecret.com, which has since been taken down – showing the 59-year-old in various sexual positions with a woman who has been identified as "Elsa".

According to various media reports, Simmons met the model while both of them worked for Frank's Energy Drink in a promotional capacity.

Simmons has posted a message on his official website addressing the tape, saying:

"Hi everyone,

You may have heard or seen garbage that has sprung up from my past. Rest assured the proper legal team is looking at all ramifications and options.

And us?  Shannon, Nick and Soph are happy and healthy.

All is well.
And thank you all for the kind words of support."
