Sharon Tate’s name came up frequently in the news in the past year after Quentin Tarantino incorporated her in his latest movie, Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, and after seeing the film, I decided to check out her films.
Since Dance of the Vampires (The Fearless Vampire Killers) was the only one available in HD, I started there.
The movie, directed by Roman Polanski, follows professor Abronsius and his apprentice Alfred (also Polanski), who are on a hunt for vampires somewhere in Transylvania. They stop at an inn in a small village where they meet Sarah, the daughter of the inn keeper who gets abducted by a vampire the very same night they arrive, and the real hunt for the local vampire lord begins.
Sharon has a couple of nude scenes in the movie, both times in a bath tub, so she often covered in foam and it’s hard to distinguish anything. Polanski took some additional photos during these scenes, which were then published the 1967 March edition of Playboy magazine.
