Carrie, a remake of Brian De Palma’s classic horror movie, comes out today.
One of the most memorable scenes in the original movie was its opening scene. Set in a steamy shower room, with young girls running around naked. Sadly,
we won’t see this scene reprised in Kimberly Peirce’s remake.
Kenyan actress
Lupita Nyong'o has a nude scene in 12 Years a Slave. She plays a slave in the movie. Her character is repeatedly raped. I take it she will be nude during one of the rape scenes, so it probably won’t be an enjoyable nude scene to watch.
Not on the list of movies from above, but Summer in February, a romantic drama starring
Emily Browning and Dominic Cooper, was released on DVD in UK this week. Emily has
a brief nude scene in it in which she disrobes and checks out her naked body in a mirror.

Alyssa Milano, and its recent remake, were released on Blu-ray. Plenty of nudity in there.
A news headline, which caught my attention yesterday, was about Orlando Bloom being naked in Zulu. “If Bloom gets naked, then there’s a chance of more nudity in it”, went through my mind. Indeed, there were a couple of nude scenes included in
a trailer.
Female cast includes South African actresses
Tanya van Graan,
Natasha Loring and
Roxanne Prentice. I am not sure which of these three is sunbathing topless in the trailer though. Actually, I am sure it’s not Natasha. I don’t think it is Tanya either, because of the birth mark on woman’s right breast. So, it’s probably Roxanne, but don’t take my word for it.
Zulu premiered at Cannes Film Festival in May, it will be released in Greece in November and France in December.
