Eva Mendes is in negotiations to star in the upcoming American remake of 'Y Tu Mamá También', the acclaimed Mexican film from director Alfonso Cuarón.
The original film, released in 2001, is a coming-of-age story focusing on two teenage boys taking a road trip with an older woman. On their journey both boys have many sexual encounters with the woman, including a graphic threesome scene.
Actress Maribel Verdú played Luisa, the woman who takes the boys on their journey, in the original film.
No actors have been signed to play the teens, but the producers will likely go with unknowns. Overture Films is producing the remake with Alfonso Cuarón serving as executive producer.
