Lindsay Lohan has turned down a reported $700,000 to pose nude for Playboy magazine. Could this be true?
Only a few months ago, she was offering to appear totally nude in a movie scene that only called for a topless shot. And she reprised
Marilyn Monroe's famous final nude photo shoot in New York magazine.
But that was before her romance blossomed with openly gay DJ Samantha Ronson. Lohan has toned down her outlandish behavior considerably since then. Of course, she could be just growing up, or holding out for more money.
The star was recently said to be considering a topless spread in the saucy magazine’s forthcoming 55th Anniversary issue. But now a representative for the star has confirmed that Lohan will definitely not be appearing in the publication.
"If there’s nudity, then the answer’s no… She’s not going down the magazine road again," a spokesperson told New York Post gossip column PageSix. Earlier this year, Lohan appeared nude for a provocative shoot with New York, reprising Marilyn Monroe’s final nude photo shoot. The same photographer took both photo sets. Print may be dead, but Lohan doesn’t sound like she’s ruling out movie nudity.
When she signed on to play a nymphomaniac waitress in the indie flick "Florence," she reportedly was eager to do a full-frontal nude scene and bare her infamous fire-crotch on the big screen, even though she was only being paid $75,000 for the role. The director, however, nixed the idea; the scene only called for her to be topless.
There is a possibility that money is the main issue preventing her from appearing in Playboy. To land the cover of the 55th Anniversary issue does carry with it some bragging rights, even though the magazine is struggling. Lohan’s father, Michael, recently said that his daughter’s acting career is in the tank. She used to get $7 million a picture, but now she is only getting offers for $1 million or less, he claimed.
