Madonna fears she is only famous for taking off her clothes, but insists she was once a prude.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker regrets posing naked for her 1992 book Sex, believing the daring move led people to brand her an exhibitionist.
But the 49-year-old is adamant she was once less adventurous, especially when she was married to actor Sean Penn.
She says: "I really was not getting up to much. I don't think I was as naughty as I could have been.
"I was quite straight. I was a geek when I was that age. I did not really do much that was interesting.
"I hope that's not the only thing that I'm identified with - taking off my clothes. I have done other things. There's a lot more to being Madonna than taking off your clothes."
Last week, Madonna revealed she wants to be more feminine. Do you think the Material Girl is too manly? See our gallery and judge for yourself.
