Take heart, girls. Even a certified cutie like
Emma Booth needs to take a deep breath before getting nude next to Sienna Miller.
It was one of the requirements for the Clubland star and AFI best-supporting-actress nominee in her latest film Hippie Hippie Shake.
"I'm kind of used to it from Clubland. I got that out of the way early. Still, getting naked next to
Sienna Miller it's like, 'Oh damn'," Booth says, taking a break from an AFI-dress-shopping expedition.
So even former models and hot young things get the blues?
"My god, that never ends. I think that's just being female. Sienna's the same. I was feeling rather bloated that day and I was like, 'Oh no, I'm a fatty boombah with skinny little legs and a big fat belly' and she's laughing going, 'Shut up, look at the size of your a--- compared with mine'."
Booth plays Germaine Greer in the film, based on Richard Neville's memoir of the same name. It's already mired in controversy, thanks to Greer calling on Booth to "get an honest job" and blasting the film for being "worse than cannibalism".
"To be honest I think I got away with it easy," Booth laughs.
"I was like, 'Oh phew, that's all she said about me'. I expected that. They've put a rough cut of the film together and everyone said Germaine's going to be so happy because we portrayed her in such a fabulous light. She's going to be so happy so it will be interesting to see if she admits she came out really well in the film. I think she'll probably still stand her ground. That's why we love her."
Booth says she's almost unrecognisable in the film.
"I wore a brown short curly wig. I watched myself on screen and you could hardly even tell it was me," she says.
Hippie Hippie Shake is Booth's third film in 18 months. Hollywood director Joel Schumacher saw Clubland and cast her in his latest thriller, Town Creek, without even requiring an audition.
