Sunday, May 21stSky One, 10pm - Rescue Me
So we come to the end of another series that kept us going through the Winter months (Dream Team and Battlestar Galactica having departed last week) and this one promises to be an emotional finale centred around the shows main character and creator Denis Leary as troubled New York fire fighter Tommy Gavin. The adult scenes may have been less than series one, although it still comes with that warning, to be straight with you though this really is excellent US drama though that you'll want to watch and appreciate anyway. So with these departures recently, "come on FX (Huff) and Living TV (The L Word) get your acts together" say I, "and get these shows back on the air, if not there - somewhere accessible!"
Monday, May 22ndBBC 1, 11.35pm - Roxanne
Remember a time when Steve Martin had a good run of films and never was involved in a stinker? I know, it was quite a while back wasn't it! So venture back to the eighties with me dear reader for this adaptation by the silver haired genius from the famous story of Cyrano De Bergerac. It was also a good time to be looking at his love interest in this enjoyable film,
Daryl Hannah. Ok, not the most naked she has got on film, but some fleeting, exciting glimpses.
Wednesday, May 24thSky One, 9pm - Out of Sight
Sizzling crime film with George Clooney and
Jennifer Lopez. Not so much J-Lo nudity, more J-Lo sexy.
Saturday, May 27thSCI FI, 10pm - Weird Science
C'mon, lets laugh it up between us here! A couple of geeks, with the help of their computer and a Barbie doll, create the ultimate sexy woman!
Kelly LeBrock is the stunner who wants to know what the horny teenagers want to get up to!?
Finally, for this week, over on Q - FHMtv, Monday and Wednesday, 10.30pm - We Salute You ... Never mind the Spice Girls! I remember when Bananarama ruled the all-girl group world! Hey, I'm not ancient and they are still going and look good too! (Keren Woodward and Sara Dallin) Here we have though a couple of groups that can only dream of the success and staying power of the 'Nanas in Sugababes (Monday, if they can stop changing their line up so much!) and Girls Aloud! (Wednesday, if they can move with the times and stay with the pace, in the ever changing world of pop!)
